It can feel like quantum physics at times. How to make 36 hours’ worth of work (and rest, by the way) fit into 24-hour days?

Help yourself to these 3 tried-and-tested tips. Without further ado:

Standstill at the kitchen sink

If your child or children suddenly become very concentrated on an activity (see a list here), it’s time for you to sit down and do some work.

Dishes will wait, seriously. Actually, the calming sound of water may prove very helpful once your child/children are finished with their activity and are getting somewhat restless before their next outing.

Break up your routine to work around your children’s quiet times!

Teach coping techniques early on

Doesn’t the whole day feel like a breeze when your child is able to keep their emotions in check?

By teaching coping techniques to your child while they’re young, you’re helping them make sense of their inner world so they’re better equipped to deal with strong feelings when they arise.
