High School Days at KV
Looking back on school bus rivalries, cool teachers, and learning more than just what was in the books.

So I am a proud KV student. KV stands for Kendriya Vidyalaya, which is under the CBSE board. The board where you have so many rules, from uniform to how to tie your hair if it is long, and not to speak in any local language, else you would be fined(the fine part did not happen even once).
The first thing that always comes to mind is the state vs CBSE students war in the bus while travelling to school. We were boasting our English skills in Malayalam slang(my school was in Kerala) and trying to mock state board people. But I did not understand what the fight was for because in the end we will complete the courses without any complaints. Do any fights in school make sense now? So yeah, can include this also in that.
So why CBSE and not the state was opted by parents for me?
The simple answer from the parent generation was that we want our kids to learn English better in the early stages. When the turn came for my brother, he was admitted to the state board as if they saw failure in me by making me join CBSE(reality is firstborn are always experimental kids 😝)
