A few days back, my water purifier stopped working. I called the repair guy, and after checking it, he told me that everything inside the purifier would need to be replaced, and this would cost me as much as buying a new purifier. I told him I’d think about it, and he left.
Since then, I’ve bought Bisleri cans. The purifier still sits there, broken. And this small situation made me pause and think, why is it so hard to decide sometimes? And how can I make better decisions, especially in my day-to-day life, where the choices aren’t always black and white?
Here are a few things I’ve been reflecting on, which might help you too if you often feel stuck:
1. Pause Before You React
We often rush to fix things because we don’t like the discomfort of not having something fixed. But giving yourself a little time. Even just a day or two to think clearly can really help. When the repairman told me the cost, I was tempted to say yes out of habit. But I’m glad I waited.
