What I Do On Medium
I may be a writer, reading a lot too, but I do much work here as an editor for you.
With extra time I have available, I offer guidance & help to other writers. On Medium, I'm still semi-active with many publications (pubs) as an editor, proof-reader and writer.

A Little Background On Me
I'm a retired, 'broke(n)' former engineer, whom worked as a Technical Writer & Editor for a long time prior to “retirement” in 2015; if, you can call what I’ve been doing for the last near 10 years retirement. But more on that later.
Focus on the following, please.
I am and was editor for numerous electrical technologies texts used at multiple Ontario Candu training centres, including one at which I instructed.
My experience has a proven success rate in the various industries in which I have worked. Have worked for seven to eleven employers in my life. None have been long term except for my first and my last.
However, in 2015 after my last employer laid me off, I chose to go it on my own. Did well too, but I invested badly. Went broke and am still working. It is a subsistence lifestyle. No savings, no retirement funds, only my smarts.
Money was never my strong suit even though I come from a banking family. I am a numbers and words kind of guy. Planning too!
But I need money to survive and I do what I can.
FYI: I am going to write another "short" About Me again soon. It will expand a bit further beyond what is presently available about my professional background, including examples for technology texts I have reviewed and revised.
There is an interesting tale I need to tell at some point. I'll get to it soon.

NOTE: My interests in writing range from the technical to the creative. I have always enjoyed writing instructional text, as it is my original calling. But I so enjoy writing fiction, journals for my outdoor exploits, humor, rhymes and poetry.

"Was" a 5x Top Writer in Privacy, Innovation, Reading, Ideas & Satire. When I first received a Top Writer tag, it was for Innovation and then later Privacy. I worked hard and managed to obtain the Innovation one back. Yes; if you don't write regularly and frequently in your Top Writer tags after you are granted any by Medium, you can lose them. Keep that in mind for your future writing.
