From Zero to One: The Art of Starting Big
or even just to START!
Do you have a list of goals that are gathering dust? We all face the daunting challenge of taking that first step. It’s about turning zero revenue into your first dollar. It’s about going from no followers to one loyal fan. Transitioning from unemployment to securing a paid position. And let’s be honest, starting is often the hardest part. So, how do you transform from zero to one? Here’s your action plan.
1. Know Your Why
Before diving into anything, ask yourself: “Why am I doing this?” It’s not enough to say you want a new job, to start a business, or to shed a few pounds. Dig deeper. What drives you?
Beware of these flimsy motivators:
- “It’ll make me famous.”
- “It sounds impressive.”
- “It’s good for my resume.”
- “I need to do something, anything.”
- The worst: “It’s what everyone else is doing.”
If your reason falls into one of these categories, it’s time for some soul-searching. True motivation comes from a deeper place. It fuels you through tough times. Find a compelling ‘why’ that gets you fired up every morning. If you can’t pinpoint it, reconsider your goals.
