Do You Spend Hours “Scrolling” Social Media and Promise not to do again?
It’s a trap, and I found the solution to break out of this trap.
Studies show that, on average, a person spends 2.5 Hours on social media. That's 18 hours a week spent scrolling through reels and posts.
I used to do the same or maybe more hours than this, every day after scrolling, I would promise myself not to do this again, and use my time for something better.
Did I do It?
No, I was trapped in the same boat as everyone else, and I wasn’t even trying to get out except for self-pity. I thought self-pity was enough to know I am doing something wrong, but I will keep doing.
Enough is Enough:
After years of self-pity and thousands of hours wasted, I sat in a quiet room and asked myself, “How much more are you going to wait before you quit?”
While I was scrolling for hours, I used to hear motivational speeches as well, and one of them hit me
“No one is coming to help you, you are on the ground so get up by yourself or crawl if you can’t walk. It’s you vs you.”
I shouted at myself and said Enough is enough, I won’t be trapped anymore.
