Who do you think is worth mentioning and boosting their earnings?
Our editors are working day in and day out.
The goal is to reward them for their hard work.
You may know that Medium does not offer any incentive for the editor of a non-nominated publication like ours. Even those that are in, most earn merely nothing.
The editors that are being added are all volunteers as an extra pair of eyes and hands to work as an editor.
There is very little recognition beside whoever’s article gets published will receive a notification that says which editor has published your article, that’s it.
I personally think Medium is using publication as a vehicle to help the platform create community and unity among writers.
Yet, at the cost of the editors.
Don’t get me wrong, I know you put in the work on your article and you can certainly self-publish it and get similar results.
In most cases, an established account can use almost any publication and get a readership. That is because most publications are semi-active along with their community.
