Being a teenager is like being stuck in a constant loop of trying to figure out what life even is while still holding on to the last bits of childhood. It’s like standing in the middle of a maze and not even realizing there are walls.

For starters, we’ve all been told to "enjoy your teenage years," but let’s be honest half the time, I’m just trying to figure out what the heck is going on.

One day, I’m eating cereal for dinner and the next, I’m supposed to care about things like “plans” and “goals” — but what does that even mean? Like, "Oh, you should be ambitious!" they say. But then they throw around terms like “future” and “responsibility” and I just freeze. Who’s got time for that?

Then there’s the high school drama which I’m convinced is a lifelong lesson in understanding how to avoid emotional breakdowns. One minute everything is fine, and the next, BAM, a group project with someone who doesn’t contribute and a test I didn’t study for. How am I supposed to learn how to be “responsible” when I can’t even remember to charge my phone?

Let’s not forget the mysterious art of socializing. Some days I feel like I’ve got it all figured out — ending memes, hanging out, and being social. The next day?
