New Meta-Medium Related Article Behind The Paywall After March

We have seen some writers who are still submitting meta-Medium-related articles. This is the email we receive from Medium on Feb. 19, 2025.
Keep yourself updated with the most recent Medium rules for Medium-related content.
While some pubs have given updates to their writers about it others have not.
I see this is very confusing for some or they just never read their emails.
Even an update like this is still considered medium-related and will take earnings from Medium. Yet, you do not want to be that person and as a consequence, I don’t think anyone knows what it will be.
A slap on the article or on the account, we don’t want to ever see that to our writers here.
The most likely thing that will happen is some random account will report articles behind the paywall if they are meta-Medium articles. These people do exist. Just beware and don’t do it if you want to stay safe.
All articles that is meta-Medium-related will likely receive a note like this:
Please note that as of March all meta-Medium-related articles will not be published it’s behind the paywall, as Medium will remove them but we are unsure what other consequences there may be. For your safety, please remove the article from the paywall and we will be happy to publish it. Thanks for your understanding.
It will be a shorter version to fit into a 200-character note.
