I was seen, By a tree 🌴(Poetry)
leaves don’t lie
I never had to speak for you to understand me.
You stood tall, unmoved by time,
Yet you heard every storm in my chest,
Every whisper of longing tangled in my breath.
You’ve lost your leaves a thousand times,
And still, you never feared the fall.
How gracefully you let go,
How patiently you wait for spring
Like loss and growth are old friends you welcome with open arms.
I’ve sat beside you in silence
And found more comfort than a thousand spoken words.
You’ve taught me that healing isn’t loud,
That roots go deeper when the world above is bare.
You don’t rush.
You don’t demand.
You just are.
And in your being, you remind me how to be.
Even as the world forgets to look up,
Even as seasons change without asking,
You stay.
And that kind of quiet loyalty
It moves something inside me
