Why Your Friends and Family Won’t Talk About Bitcoin During the Holidays

Trump won the US election.

In January, crypto bro JD Vance will sit one breath away from the presidency.

Already, you may have heard talk of a Bitcoin Strategic Reserve and a new golden era for cryptocurrency. Bitcoin will save the US from its fiscal demise. US crypto projects will finally have a way to legally build utility into their tokens. Everybody will get rich and “retire their bloodline.”

Sounds great.

With the holidays coming up, you may get an urge to chat about Bitcoin. After all, the price is higher than ever and way above its peak in November 2021, when everybody started talking about it in the first place.

Sure, go ahead and strike up a convo. Just know your audience — and why they might run away once you start speaking.

While I’ve never asked anybody “Why don’t you want to talk about Bitcoin” (because it’s an odd question), I do talk to people about Bitcoin sometimes when they ask me about my newsletter, Crypto is Easy.
