When You Love Drawing But Struggle With The Basics: A Beginner’s Journey
Finding your starting point in art and drawing
I love writing, about anything. It doesn’t matter, you give me a topic and I'll find something to talk about and put it on the page.
If you’ve read any of my comments, you’ll know that I can do it with ease; I’m a professional commentator after all.
Maybe I enjoy it because I love it, or maybe it’s simply because there is an ease of access to it for me. I start to think and then the words spill onto the page.
Even if what I’m writing is not beautifully written, I’m certain that whoever reads me will get the general message of what I’m trying to put out.
But when it comes to drawing and painting, no way!
I have a vision of how I want a piece of art to come out, but the reality is always way off the mark.
I love writing because I find it ‘easy’.
I love art because I find it ‘hard’.
My personal challenge when I write is not to finish a piece, but to finish a piece where I can leave my reader with something to think about.
