I no longer accept being called strong

Resilient is no good either

I am tired of being called “strong.”

I am tired of being called “resilient.”

What is strong if you are never given the option to be weak?

What is resilient when the blows never stop coming?

When I receive this “praise,” I can no longer tell if it is even meant to be a positive. Is it meant as a compliment or are they really saying, “goddamn you’re hard to kill, could you hurry up and die already?”?

I no longer accept being called strong, when I am not given the option to rest.

I no longer accept being called resilient, when you give me no armor against the blows.

I am weary.

I am weak.

I wish for rest.
