I Went Into Face Yoga for Vanity; I Stayed for the Posture
A funny way to get rid of neck pain
I have suffered way too many concussions. Also, I have been in a couple of car crashes that led me to experience the famous whiplash effect. As a result, I struggle with recurrent neck pain.
I have tried so many different things.
From a ton of different medications that only brought temporary relief to wearing those funny-looking foam collars, I kept looking for solutions.
I spent some time on massage tables and performing the neck exercises my doctor prescribed. I got some results and felt a bit better, but the tension never fully went away and something as simple as tripping would trigger a relapse.
Frankly, I had assumed this would become a permanent part of my life.
Oh, vanity!
Around that time, I started to notice that the wrinkles on my neck kept on getting more pronounced. My first thought was, “ugh.” My second thought was, “You are a bad feminist. You shouldn’t worry about your wrinkles.”
However, might as I tried, I did care about them and wanted to do “something.” I bought a few creams, but, of course, they only had a superficial effect.
