We Need More MAGA on Medium

And other updates from The Political Prism from 2025 thus far

I disagree with practically everything MAGA stands for, but the last thing I want is an echo chamber. It’s why I still lurk on Twitter/X and occasionally will consume right-wing media. It’s why I try to publish as many — credibly sourced — right-wing stories at The Political Prism as possible.

My biggest problem? There are almost no right-wing writers on Medium. Or even writers willing to defend Donald Trump, Elon Musk, or others in the right-wing world through long-form essays and stories.

I have tried in the past, simply to play devil’s advocate, and to further the mission of The Political Prism to celebrate a diversity of viewpoints. But I must be honest. It’s getting increasingly difficult to defend any aspect of the Trump Administration.

Part of me asks myself, “John, are you simply not varying your media sources enough? Are you not reading enough Breitbart or Elon Musk X threads?”

Then the other part of me responds with — “Of course you’re consuming enough. You listened to an entire Lex Fridman podcast with Ukrainian President Zelensky where Lex was most concerned about the security guarantees Zelensky could offer Putin, the same person responsible for invading Ukraine.”
