The Eras Tour Let Women Be Free and Fearless
As a dad, I was able to witness it firsthand
The day finally arrived. December 6, 2024.
My four daughters had waited over a year and could barely contain themselves. We were about to see Taylor Swift in Vancouver on the first night of the final weekend of the epic, record-breaking Eras tour.
I was preparing for the overall experience to be a bit of a letdown. After all, one concert, even this one, couldn’t possibly live up to all that hype, right?
Wrong.
It was everything my daughters dreamed it would be and more. Being there myself, I understand why. I also see why it impacted so many women so deeply.
This was more than just a concert. This was a rare opportunity for nearly 60,000 women to be seen and heard however they wanted, with no fear of refusal, negativity, or shaming.
It showed so much to me.
The Eras tour is not only the first tour to bring in $1 billion, it’s the first to bring . As dazzlingly impressive as that is, there’s more.
Every concert site brought in millions to that community from Swift’s own generosity to local food banks, as well as the Swiftie Army spending their money on lodging, food, drinks, and…
