Donald Trump’s Recent Statements on Gaza
Speaking to the press today, former U.S. President Donald Trump made several remarks regarding the ongoing situation in Gaza:
“Gaza should become an area of freedom; the situation there has been bad for years.”
“I spoke with the leaders of the three countries I visited — they will be part of the solution for Gaza and will help.”
“Two nights ago, one of those three great leaders told me, ‘Please help the Palestinian people — they are starving.’”
“I told the Gulf leader that we have already begun working to help the people of Gaza.”
“If I were president, October 7 would never have happened, and Iran would not have been able to fund or arm Hamas.”
“Gaza’s population is about 1.9 million — large, but not overwhelmingly so.”
“People in Gaza want to stay in the Middle East; they like living there.”“Gaza’s residents didn’t have to go to Sweden or Germany — they could have had a homeland in the Middle East.”
“What’s happening in Gaza is pointless; every ten years they fall back, and Hamas remains.”
