How Earning My First Dollar Gave Me the Confidence to Keep Going
Earning that first $1 as a writer might not be a big deal for most people, but for me, it’s very precious.
It has nothing to do with money; it’s about convincing myself that I can do it.
As a homemaker and a mother of two young kids, it wasn’t easy for me to start writing at all. However, despite the struggles, I have taken my first step towards financial freedom. Three months ago, I started writing on Medium. It was my first platform as a writer, and I was new to the world of online content creation.
I had no experience, no viral posts, and no followers. All I had was a passion for writing and a strong desire to start my career once again after a long hiatus.
Like many novice writers, I had high expectations but limited knowledge about how the site worked. I heard success stories of people making hundreds or thousands of dollars, and as much as they inspired me, they also made me wonder — will I ever get there?
