I have been seeing patients for quite a few years (if I include my UG clinical years as well) and believe me, I have come across my fair share of some pretty interesting patients.
I have seen husbands completely disregarding their wife's pain, and then some who treat their wife's like their most precious person.
Some people accompanying my patients are so sweet that they make me awestruck and then there are some who make me wish to just throw them out of my sight, away from my vicinity. (Not so professional? Well…..I am a human too)
Yesterday, one of the nurse who has been working with me shared an interesting story. After hearing her, I was not able to decide whether I should be saying “Aww!!” or “Crazy!!”
She told me an incident of a husband and wife, who are being regularly tested for some medical reasons and on almost every visits their blood (sample) is drawn out for testing.
The woman's husband is so caring towards his wife that once he told the nurse “Please, take more blood from me but don’t cause unease to my wife” (not his exact words but….you get the crux. Right?)
