Sometimes, you stop giving, and that’s okay. Because after a while, you just get tired of trying to fill a cup that’s never poured back into you.

Not out of anger or resentment. But because… You were exhausted.
There comes a moment in certain relationships — whether it’s a friend, a partner, or even family, when you pause and realize:
I’m giving more than I’m getting.
Usually, we are taught to give only and not expect anything in return. But, in this situation I felt opposite to this.
At first, it’s not always obvious. It sneaks in quietly.
For me, it happened with someone I thought would be in my life forever. A friend I shared everything with my highs and lows, my dreams and laughter.
I celebrated their wins like they were mine. I would check in when they were quiet, remember the little things they said in passing, and show up when it mattered most.
