Before Trump came to power, Europe’s economy was growing slowly, and there was a lot of red tape holding back progress.
But if you ask what positive impact Trump has had as President of the U.S., one major outcome is the unity he has brought to Europe.
Trump’s policies created a sense of threat among European leaders, both in terms of security and economic reliability, which ultimately pushed them to come together.
This unity is now benefiting Europe.
Recent data shows that Europe might actually be doing okay, and maybe even better than expected.
There are two recent reports that bring good news.
The first is the latest GDP (Gross Domestic Product) numbers from Eurostat.
The EU’s economy grew by 1.4% in the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same time last year.
Of course, 1.4% isn’t a massive number
