Is it Time to Downgrade Our FOM Membership?

Apparently, it is of no use now

When the Friend of Medium program was launched, I was among its top 50 early adopters because I upgraded my membership the very next day it was introduced. We were all excited to do something extra for our fellow writers—to help them earn four times more than the reads from a normal membership account. We loved this idea!

But now we all seem to be in a loophole where things don’t make any sense. Stories are earning merely cents, no matter how many reads they get. The whole situation is very disappointing, and our future looks blurry.

This has been the worst month, earnings-wise, since I joined Medium. Earnings are barely equal to the subscription fee we paid for being a "FOM." I’m considering downgrading my membership since being a FOM seems pointless now. What do you think?
