What are your expectations when you make your way to a seaside resort?
Ample options to choose from when it comes to the accommodation, an array of cafés and restaurants to satiate your taste buds and a few sunny days in the period coinciding with your trip.
Did I forget something? Maybe, a few cool pubs and vibrant nightclubs to ensure a memorable evening. And, of course, the sea, and the beach.
If I am on my way to one such resort along the Baltic Sea, I have one additional expectation, irrespective of the country of visit. I hope for some favorable weather.
It is not as if I am expecting the unexpected. Unlike the neighboring North Sea, which can be alluded to as a relationship gone sour, the Baltic Sea is akin to a timeless romance. The resorts dotted along its shore seldom disappoint the many who flock in for a quick vacation every year.
Sopot, arguably Poland’s most popular seaside resort, is no different. It meets all the expectations, to ensure the visitors not only have a great time, but also consider a return.
