Nothing but Equality.
A poem on what women actually mean by “equality”.
No one is asking for heavier loads,
Nor the strength of a man that stands bold.
For worth is not in muscles or might,
But it is in the will to stand upright.
We don’t seek to mimic a man,
But just want to live the same, through a pen’s sword fight.
The dream is to lead and soar through
the skies.
A door to ambitions, is what we’re asking for.
All we want, is our minds clear.
Hunger driven, and a voice that deserves to
be heard.
Not to overshadow,
But the same meadow where respect is not given but earned.
Equality is right with no mockery,
Nor is it something to prove who’s wrong or
who’s right.
It is a chance to take flight,
No more, no less,
We just want to jive into its light.
