This post is a follow-up to my previous story about the criticality of emotional health, attracting the attention of my subscribers, who wanted me to provide perspectives from a cognitive psychology angle, introducing them to cognitive strategies they can use for emotional regulation based on my experience.

For new readers, I wrote hundreds of articles, blog posts, and personal stories about mental health and participated in international conferences as a speaker, sharing my research. My content made a significant global impact (96.60%) and was algorithmically chosen among the top 10 thought leaders in the field, as I documented in a previous article. I enjoy passing along my research, tacit knowledge, and experiences of mental and physical health through my writing to empower my readers.

During my lectures, when new students ponder “cognition” (the process of thinking and understanding) and “emotion” (our feelings and sensations), they believe these two entities are separate. I explained to them that they were akin to the yin and yang — appearing different yet deeply interconnected.
