If you look at social media, you’ll notice many photos of luxury cars, fancy vacations, and stylish designer items. It’s a common mistake to think that living like the wealthy will guarantee we get rich. Most of what we observe is staged — it’s entertainment, not the truth.
Having a luxury lifestyle does not guarantee you’ll save money.
It’s important to differentiate looking like you have money from having money. Many rich-looking individuals tend to have debts because they spend more than they should.
A lot of the time, those who have real wealth usually lead simple, disciplined lives. They use their money to invest, put it away, and consider the future. If you focus on replicating their spending habits, you’re missing the habits that gave them financial success.
When you role model successful influencers, you give away your own financial decisions. You think their approach can work for all, but most made their gains from things like luck or money from family, not equal methods.
