Why It Makes More Sense to Abort a Trip
Than make adjustments based on monetary considerations.
What you are about to read is contrary to any regular advice on travel. Having said that, let me assure you that this point of view is not a categorical statement by any means, but something that I firmly believe in after two decades of consistent traveling.
It is a personal opinion, as simple as that. In fact, it is a dual-opinion, as my partner is in perfect agreement with me on this matter.
Recently, I decided to make a list of the few distinctly different travel destinations I was able to visit in 2024. It was a nice exercise, to get a chance to recollect and pen down some of the most memorable experiences of the year gone by.
Having said that, it also made me introspect. Making such a list was possible only because of a pragmatic decision that we made beforehand. Before I get to the decision per se, let me provide some context.
