Late Friday afternoon Republicans and Democrats in the Senate extended funds for the federal government for another fiscal year (2023). is a sprawling piece of legislation filled with provisions and reforms that impact everything from election integrity to defense spending.
As most Americans struggle through ongoing inflation, the federal government continues to give money to the country of Ukraine. Soon-to-be House Republican speaker Kevin McCarthy said that Republicans would to the war-torn country; many assumed this is what spurred Biden to hurry the passing of the omnibus bill. Surveys are showing Americans believe that we have many financial problems within our own border to deal with first.
