Four Fault Lines That Could Break America
Racism, indoctrination, inequality, and exclusion aren’t glitches. They’re pressure points — and they’re reaching the breaking point.
…we are in the midst of multiple overlapping crises and those in charge simply don’t have the bandwidth, the intelligence or the imagination to deal with them.
Is it just me or do you feel like too much is happening too quickly? Surely I can’t be alone and unable to cope with the fire hose of information and disinformation blasting at us 24/7.
I know it’s deliberate.
It’s a calculated flooding of the information zone so that we won’t know what to believe. It’s a way to paralyze us by overloading circuits in our brains the same way deer get frozen in headlights. And while we struggle to separate fact from fiction, real crises are unfolding around us.
Amidst the noise however, we can come to one solid conclusion: we are in the midst of multiple overlapping crises and those in charge simply don’t have the bandwidth, the intelligence or the imagination to deal with them.
