My Experience When I Was a Victim of Non-verbal Bullying
What kind of bullying was that?
I remember very well when I was still in junior high school in Dumai city, I was shunned by my friends for no apparent reason.
Even though I never looked for enemies, never bothered friends, I used to always be cheerful, especially when I had new friends.
Very extroverted.
But after that, suddenly their gazes at me were like disgust. I don’t know what triggered it.
I wanted to ask why they did that, but no words came out of my mouth.
Finally, I just kept quiet watching their ugly sight.
When one class hour, the teacher told us to form free groups.
Yes, there were no rules on how many members each group had.
I could only sit alone on the bench — the edge and the front — watching my friends gather with their favorite friends.
No one has asked me to join them.
Until one of my friends saw me with pity and sadness because I was sitting alone.
“Dil, let’s go here together,” he said.
I remember the name was Dimas, and I was very grateful for his kindness at that time.
