Blooming After The Storm
Coming back after hard times
One of the main reasons I wanted to start writing, was to connect with the world around me. I want to take my own life experiences and share them with others. I want to let people know they are not alone.
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” -Helen Keller
We all know that life can be difficult, but it doesn’t have to be. One thing that I have learned after encountering some of the hardest parts of my life was perspective; meaning, I learned to look at everything that happened to me differently than I would have in the past. I discovered that there is beauty, even in the bad. It took me a long time to adapt this mindset and I am still working every day to become a better person than I was yesterday. Just remember, our past does not define who we are. We can start changing the way we perceive and live our lives, right now. I’m sure you’ve heard it said that people never change, but I don’t believe this to be true.
One of my Stories
I was 28 years old when the most unexpected, life-changing accident happened. I was involved in a drinking and driving accident that landed me in jail for a year and parole for another four. Being locked in a cell was somewhere I thought I would never be.
