U.S. Military May Fight in War Local Trumper Did Not Pick Out Himself

He’s a bit confused, but we share one concern

After I spoke at a meeting recently, a man came up to shake my hand, and we had a nice conversation about local politics.

But then he mentioned Trump.

My heart fell.

I said something like, “I don’t really care to have a conversation with someone who supports Trump.”

The man tried to backtrack; it was not that he actually liked Trump, he insisted. He’d voted for him for some other reason I didn’t hear because I was trying to disengage myself from the conversation.

I am not always opposed to making a scene, but that was not the place for it.

“You voted for a man who literally tried to overthrow this country,” I quietly said, and stepped away.

But he was not done talking.

It seemed important to him, and against my better judgment, I listened.

I don’t know whether the man does or does not actually like Trump, but he clearly doesn’t like Biden.

He said he has a son in the Army and Biden is going to send his son to serve on the…
