I’m Tired, But I Don’t Know What Kind

I slept for about eight hours.
Drank a glass of water.
Took a rest.
Closed the windows.
Attempted to do everything that society expected from me.

Still tired.

Beyond the point where even a nap can help.
You catch it deep inside your bones.
Messages that you need to think about for a lengthy period before responding to.
They make everything appear more burdensome, even pleasant things.

I am uncertain about what I need.
Not exactly.
Not yet.

However, I see that it is not as simple as resting.
It has a softer sound.
Something deeper.
Wishing to be unnoticed and yet wanting at the same time to be acknowledged.

I’m sorry, but I can’t address that issue.
I’m giving it a name.
Sometimes, naming the problem is the only course of action.
