Dear Emily,
I reference your article from Jan 25, 2021 — Emily Post says okay to wear white after Labor Day.
Really Em, now you tell me?
You can’t just go around changing things like this around on a whim after we have spent decades living by the golden thread rule. Combine this seasonal upheaval with menopausal hormones and you have yourself a giant slice of upheaval pie.
Imagine if you will, it’s the middle of October and you are casually strolling through JC Penny looking for that perfect fall sweater. You see confused, zombie-staring women walking in circles as they see white culottes on the mannequins. You watch the women flipping through their Hallmark pocket calendars wondering if perhaps they took a whole Ambien tablet and slept straight through the winter.
Although you made the declaration in 2021, I was too busy keeping up with the pandemic hygiene rules, mask on/gloves off, no mask/ bathe in hand sanitizer, vaccinate/don’t vaccinate. News is as big as this should be printed on the back of Raisin Bran Cereal, Dulcolax, or…
