Have you ever been moved to tears by something as simple as a song and wondered why it happened?
Yesterday, I went to a movie with my boyfriend. It was a blockbuster action movie, so I was ready for the excitement to roll across the screen.
Unlike many other moviegoers, we love watching the previews. Quick glimpses of upcoming movies excite us about the stories coming out of Hollywood. We are huge fans of movies and get excited about new films on the horizon.
We’ve seen one particular preview a few times in recent weeks. It’s for the film adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked, which looks fantastic.
Because we’ve seen this preview a few times, I know to grab a handful of napkins when it begins.
By the end of this preview, as the shortened story unfolds and the background music swells, I feel my emotions stirring. The music takes hold of me, and the beauty before my eyes pulls me into the story.
