Stolen Spark
The hidden light behind pocketing the most stolen object in the world.
Often, we consider the most lost or stolen item in the world to be the most disposable or replaceable.
What is the purpose of a lighter? To light a flame, a fire to rid ourselves of pain. What remains are ashes, no matter what it is we are trying to burn or rid ourselves of.
What does a lighter do? Provide a flame, a light, heat. What do you use it for? A candle, a cigarette, to light a fire?
We as people are either the lighters or the pocketers of the lighters.
The flameholder or the fireman.
Do you spark others to be their own light, or are you the one pocketing their flame so you can provide the heat?
Do you steal someone’s spark, or do you ignite your own?
Do you light another’s candle to illuminate the way out of the darkness, or do you snuff it out to make them sit in the dark once theirs is extinguished?
Once someone else's lighter dies, it is seen as useless and disposable, we toss it to the side when it loses its spark, finding a new one instead of ending the need to use someone else's lighter.
