You Should Write for Yourself, Not for Others
The act of writing is to express yourself and your thoughts in front of the world.
But it doesn’t necessarily have to be like that. Sometimes the point of writing is to write for yourself and not for others.
Writing helps us find ourselves in new light. It helps us see things in a third-person perspective, which helps us see things in a different light.
Writing is just voice written on a piece of paper, either physical or digital. If you are a good writer, then you will be a good talker.
You would have complex and nuanced words to describe your thoughts to yourself and the world. Writing makes us better in many ways. It improves our thought processing and conversation capacity. It is something that grounds our mind in one place, which it can’t do very well.
When we write something it stays there. Unlike the chaotic thoughts that come and go in our heads. This fact alone is enough to prove how important the act of writing is for us humans. We are great because of our ability to think to a great level.
This is why you should write even if you don’t want to do it for others, do it for yourself.
