What I Wish I Knew at 25: Life Lessons That Still Matter
Timeless tips that can save you time, money, and heartache.
At 25, I was convinced I knew everything.
I had some money in my pocket, and some dreams in my heart, and the world seemed to be mine to win. But looking back today — after years of living, learning, loving, and messing up. I can see how little I knew.
If I were to sit my 25-year-old self down and grab a cup of coffee with him, this is what I would tell him. And maybe, just maybe, these are lessons that can benefit you too.
1. Be kind. Always.
You never know what the other person is going through. A smile or a few kind words can make his/her day. Kindness is never lost.
2. Money isn’t the goal — freedom is.
At 25, I chased money like a hungry dog after a steak. But what I truly wanted was freedom. The freedom to wake up without stress. The freedom to say “no” without fear. That’s what money is for — freedom, not stuff.
