SELF — REALISATION

How I Tried to Meditate and Ended Up Napping Instead

Admire people who meditate daily.

I admire people who meditate deeply sitting cross-legged and in a relaxed state. It is very relaxing. But my mind cannot concentrate even for 5 minutes. My thoughts keep running — children, studies, household chores, etc.

During my second pregnancy, I included prenatal and postnatal yoga. I used to like it a lot. I used to do breathing exercises, meditation, yoga, and mantra jaap with a lot of heart. After that, I felt very relaxed. Now I am not able to manage my time. I am working on adjusting my schedule. Whatever is best for our health, our priority becomes last for that. Why is this so? If anyone knows the answer to this, please tell me.

First day of meditation

I planned to start as soon as I woke up, and I was determined to do it for five minutes after getting fresh. However, I ended up getting different results. The light would go off to ensure the kids wouldn’t wake up.

Start :

“Inhale deeply … exhale slowly.”

Till now everything was fine.

“Clear your mind.”

Ah. This is where the trouble started.
