Hello dear readers, writers & everyone in between,

Presenting to you, October Writing Prompts, which were previously called the September Writing Prompts but then moved on with the times as time waits for no one!

I’m sorry for the long period of dormancy — I’ve been trying to survive the perils of the real world — paperwork and unemployment.

I hope you still find these prompts thought-provoking and get your fingers typing. Enjoy! :)

  • Your therapy needs

Over the last 5–6 years, I’ve seen quite a few therapists for varying durations and frequencies. My needs have evolved and so has my awareness about them. This awareness plays a huge role in the quality of therapy I get, regardless of the skill level of the therapist I’m seeing. For example, I know that seeing a therapist at a fixed time each week is important for me, as it helps me maintain a routine. But at the same time, I need to have the freedom to tweak the frequency depending on my mental space. Just like any other activity in life, we need breaks from therapy too. What has your experience with therapy been like? Did you have any memorable experiences (good or bad or neutral)? Are you aware of your specific therapy needs?

  • Grooming and self-care

Brushing, showering, cutting our nails, combing our hair — all that human stuff — may come naturally to most people, but they can be complicated
