Sometimes I wonder if such a person truly exists —
Someone who listens for hours without interrupting,
Who understands every unspoken word,
Who offers a hug without needing to be asked.
Someone I can reach for without a moment’s hesitation,
Who feels like home in a world that so often feels adrift.I haven’t met them yet,
Though I’ve searched for them in the eyes of many
Who claimed to understand me completely.
But I returned each time with a disappointed heart —
Realizing I was only heard, never truly known.Sometimes, I find myself lost in conversations I’ve never had,
With a person I’ve never met.
In those imaginary moments, I don’t need to explain myself —
They just understand.
When I begin to speak, they don’t rush to fix things,
They don’t offer a lecture —
They simply stay, present with patience.I imagine how they notice every shift in my tone,
How they sense when I’m sad or quietly happy.
They see how I fall silent when I feel too much,
And they gently give me the space
To open myself, fully and freely. Some nights in quite moments, I still look up at the sky and wonder if they’re out…
