Getting Organized Ten Minutes at a Time
It’s slow, but it works…eventually
You know those people who have it together? They make lists, plan their days, keep their house clean, and go to bed at night feeling all accomplished.
Well, those people are not me.
I’m the kind of person who resists getting up at all and then, at the end of the day, wonder what the heck I did. Does that mean my day was wasted? Is my life less meaningful because I don’t have it all together?
My house has long been a source of pain for me. I’m not one of those people who has an organized house. And get this: not one single member of my family does either, at least not those who are biologically related to me.
It seems to be a family affliction.
My sister-in-law has her house set up so cute, and she lives there all alone, just as snug as a bug in a rug. But when my brother was alive, it wasn’t like that at all. He was just as afflicted by the family chaos as the rest of us. Now that I see how she really likes things, I feel sorry for her having to live in chaos for so long. She misses my brother but likes her space.
Bless her heart, she didn’t know what she was getting into when she married into our family.
