A Lie All Men Want You to Believe!
“Strong” men pay the price later!
They say women love harder, hurt deeper, and care more in relationships… right?
Wrong. That’s just the story we’ve been told.
Forget the cliché of the emotionally distant guy. It turns out that men might be more emotionally invested in romance than women, and now we have the science to prove it.
Recent studies show that men often fall in love faster, say “I love you” sooner, and feel the emotional sting of a breakup more deeply than women do.
Researchers from Humboldt University of Berlin, the University of Minnesota, and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam analyzed over 50 studies of mixed-gender relationships, and the findings were eye-opening.
According to their , men expect to gain more from a romantic relationship than women do.
That makes them more motivated to find a partner and more emotionally affected when things fall apart.
In anonymous surveys, men also reported experiencing greater mental and physical health benefits from being in a relationship.
They were less likely to initiate breakups and more likely to struggle emotionally afterward.
