Yes, I Fell First. And Harder.

(And I’d do it again.)

I saw you once and called it fate —
A quiet thought I couldn’t shake.
You didn’t know, but every glance
Was secretly my heart’s bold dance.

It wasn’t thunder.
No lightning split the skies.
But something in the quiet
tilted —
when I saw you with my eyes.

You didn’t even look back.
Not yet.

But I was already naming the hours after your eyes,
Creating endless stories beneath quiet skies,
Building whole lifetimes from the curve of your grace
While you turned slowly, away from my face.

I fell —
not soft, not slow,
not with ease, not gentle flow.
But like a flame that burns the night,
a sacred ruin, fierce and bright.

I loved you
in secret,
in chaos,
in quiet revolt.
Before your hand could ever find mine,
I carved our story line by line.
