The Quiet Fear
Do you ever feel like the word “average” is quietly haunting you?
Like it’s this invisible line that you’re terrified of falling below?
It’s not like anyone wakes up and says, “You know what? I’m okay with just blending in.”
No one wants to be the person people forget.
We all want to matter, to leave a mark.
But sometimes, when I think about all the extraordinary people out there — the ones changing the world, climbing mountains, building empires — I start to wonder if I’m doing enough.
Do you ever feel that way? Like the world is this huge, competitive stage, and you’re just fumbling around, trying not to trip on the spotlight?
I don’t think it’s just about not being average.
It’s about wanting to feel special. To know that you’re seen.
To believe that there’s something inside you that makes you different.
Not in a flashy, “everyone look at me” kind of way. Just… different enough that you know your life meant something.
And then there’s the fear.
Oh, the fear.
