Nikki Lilly was diagnosed at age six with the rare disease of Arteriovenous Malformation, or ATVMs as it is called. Already, she has had over 70 surgeries, leaving her almost a hermit until she decided to do something constructive to help others with disfiguring problems. Nikki began making videos on make-up baking, mental illness, and chronic illnesses.
ATVM is a group of blood vessels in your body that forms incorrectly, creating a tangle of blood vessels. They are usually found in the brain or spinal cord but can be found anywhere. Because ATVM is so rare, pharmaceutical companies have limited research on it, and hopefully, this will change.
