With the official close of the second series of GiaB’s Prompted Writing Challenges, it is an ideal time for reflection.
An ideal time to look back over the roads traveled, and the experiences enjoyed.
GiaB’s present state is complex and sophisticated. It is an ideal time to look back to our humble beginnings, to see how far we have come, and how we have matured.
A time ago, over fifty fortnights ago, about two years ago, GiaB launched its prompted challenge program. The publication was in its infancy, and the landscape of Medium was very different with respect to readers and supporters.
COVID was just starting to be an utterly bad idea.
I was locked into my apartment and ‘stir crazy’ was fast becoming a reality.
The silver lining here, was that I could explore writing in a much more active way.
