I am prepared to welcome
an equal partner in my life
who has compassion in his eyes
kindness in his heart
who does not have
rough-edged soul
which will slit my love
and snap its neck!

I am prepared to welcome
someone who knows fairness
someone who is not threatened
by a woman’s opinion
someone who is willing to
do his share at home
will not think twice
before seeking advice!

I am prepared to welcome
a man who will take care of my soul
my well being
who will protect me keeping me in his arms
place me right beside him
without any doubts and inhibitions
man who does not drain me
but energizes me and my very essence!

I am prepared to welcome
the indecisiveness I will experience
feeling the new love
and going through the whole
process of building a new chemistry
without having to fear to stripe my emotions naked
vulnerable and impuissant
pouring myself out to him!

I am prepared to welcome
the strength for me to live with
a boulder so strong
immovable with any sense of
tremor in the world around us
to build a safe heaven to surround us
where we guard each other’s secrets,
despair, angst, laughs, success, and endeavor!
