Like many people, I didn’t clean my room or organise my table after studying and doing the assignment. Like my room, my mind was also messy. I just gave up on myself because I felt like I couldn’t do anything correctly, and I’m not perfect.

But now, maybe because learnings from the books, I realised our room is everything. It will change our mood, either from a good mood to bad if it is messy, or bad to good if it is clean. Have you experienced it?

Cleaning doesn’t mean mopping floor or reorganising your closet daily, but putting your shoes in right place when you get home, tidying your table after working or studying, and arranging your bed cover each morning.

Identify it correctly. Don’t make that excuse again.

  • Many people skip going gym because they feel exhausted. The truth is they are not tired, but they feel they have done more work in a day than others and think they deserve a rest.
  • Sometimes, people try to avoid the work they have started because they feel like they are not perfect like others. Perfectionists need more patience and discipline.

Recently, I was watching YouTube videos related to my studies; suddenly, I saw a Mindvalley ad about mind control techniques found by José Silva. I was so impressed by the ad and wanted to know more about mind control but couldn’t join the programme because it is quite expensive for me. Still, I want to know about this technique.

But it is not the end.

I was searching for the answers; is there any way I can learn his technique for free or at low cost?

I found the book written by José Silva called and some YouTube videos of people who joined the Mindvalley programme.

This story includes techniques that José Silva mentioned in the book. This is rarely known to the people. So, don’t miss reading this story.

In the book, the author mentioned the importance of going to our Alpha level to control our minds and solve our problems.

To go into the Alpha level, he recommends meditating, but not traditional meditation; he introduced a new approach to activate our Alpha level through meditation.

#1 New Approach

So far, we know the traditional meditation where we only focus on our environment or listen to mantras. But it is going to be like that. It is completely new.

First level

He says, in the morning, close your eyes and move your head upward by 20 degrees; focus on the spot between your eyebrows, which helps you to produce alpha and count the numbers backwards.

At the beginning, count from 100 to 1 for 10 days, then count 50 to 1 for 10 days, 25 to 1 for 10 days, 10 to 1 for 10 days and finally 5 to 1 for 10 days. At last, you just need 5 seconds to reach your alpha level.

To come back to Beta from Alpha, count 1 to 5 and slowly open your eyes.

Second Level

He suggests sitting comfortably or lying down in bed and focusing on each and every part of the body, starting from the left foot. This helps you reduce the tension in your body.

Third Level

Sit straight and choose a point on the wall opposite you that is 45 degrees above your eyes, and gaze at it until your eyelids feel heavy and count from 50 to 1 for 10 days, 10 to 1 for 10 days, and then start to count from 5 to 1.

Apart from all the visualisation techniques, José Silva introduced the most effective technique to visualise and find the solution to the problem.

#2 Three-Scene Technique

First Scene

Imagine you have multiple screens; among them, you choose one screen and play your current problem you want to be resolved with a known solution, by gazing 20 degrees upward from your eyes.

He says to relive that scene for a while to know your problem.

Second Scene

He says to turn 15 degrees left by pushing off the problem scene; instead, imagine you are in the process of solving the problem; it can be anything like seeking help, researching or even reading books.

Third Scene

Again, turn 15 degrees left and push off the process scene; instead, visualise the output or the results you wanted to. Imagine what you will be like after solving the problem, how people will appreciate you, and how it will benefit you and others.

Most importantly, you have to follow this technique at your alpha level by counting 5 to 1. This speeds up the results.

#3 Three Fingers Technique

This technique helps to improve memory power and recall what you want to recall, like names or numbers.

This technique is really helpful for students to memorise the hard content and recall it while writing the exam.

How this technique works:

  • Go to your alpha level by counting 5 to 1
  • Say it yourself (silent or aloud),
“Whenever I join my fingers like this (join your left hand fingers like shown in the picture), I will instantly reach this level of mind to accomplish whatever I desire.” ~ José Silva

For students, to memorise and recall, he suggested another method, which is to read your complicated content aloud and record it with your phone, then go into your alpha level and listen to the audio you recorded with your headphones. Before going into your alpha level, be ready to play your audio without opening your eyes.

Remember to follow all the above techniques at your alpha level to get speed results.

Nowadays, people tend to look after others and get involved in fun things (having fun and enjoying your life are not bad, unless it makes you an unhealthy person).

But now they realise they’ve neglected their health and mindfulness, filled with regret for not finding a balance that nurtures both themselves and their relationships.

It is very crucial to take care of yourself.

Self-care triggers you to prioritise your health, mindfulness and social relationships first among anything.

When you take care of yourself, you show yourself that you love and prioritise yourself first.

Some people say they care about others more than themselves. It is not true. They think that if they say they care about them, it will represent them as selfish.

But,

There is no need to be afraid to say that you love and care about yourself more than others, because the person who cares about himself/herself is the one who truly cares about others.

You can’t provide what you don’t have; you can’t give love and care to others if you don’t love and care about yourself.

Types of Physical Care

We can categorise physical care into four parts. These things really help you to become physically healthy.

– Sleep

Always, sleep is the most important among others. Do you know why our grandparents always say to have at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep? Because it sharpens your memory, increases HGH production, reduces your stress and high blood pressure, and improves your mood when you wake up in the morning.

Ask yourself, “Are you getting enough sleep every day?”

Try to sleep at least 6 to 8 or 7 to 9 hours. And it is much better to sleep and get up at the same time as the previous day. It helps you maintain your body clock.

Do not use mobile phones or digital devices 1 hour before going to bed and 1 hour after waking up. I don’t need to repeat the same thing that you can see many articles on Google about “how phone blue lights affect your body”.

- Exercise

Everybody knows the benefits of exercising. But due to several reasons, they don’t do it.

But, for instance, if you don’t have time to exercise, just try to combine your work and exercise.

One of my lecturers is a businessman and a visiting lecturer at our college, so he has no time to exercise, he always says. He always climbs the steps and comes to class even though our class is on the 10th floor. He doesn’t walk slowly as many of us do; he walks really fast; sometimes he runs up the steps as part of his exercise. He never uses lifts. He always suggests using steps rather than a lift.

It is only one example; you can do whatever comes to your mind. Instead of going in the cars or bikes to the office, you can ride a bicycle or take a small walk to the office, do jumping exercises for a full-body workout, and get involved in office well-being camps.

- Healthy Diet

Everyone does like a slim and healthy body. They try different successful healthy diets; they don’t get what they want.

The reason for the failure is that they have no trust in their diet. People start a very good diet plan, and soon after, they question the plan: Will it work? Will I get a slim body? Will it help me to lose weight?

The moment they feel their diet plan is going to fail, even though they follow the diet, they won't lose weight. Trusting the process brings you the result you want.

Trust the process. You have a better plan at hand, whether it is a health-related plan or a success-related plan. Trust and Follow.

- Focus On Appearance

Physical care tends to reduce your inferiority complex, and appearance plays a huge role in that.

When you take a tough decision at work or home, if you know it might hurt somebody, your heart sometimes tells you to avoid it because it thinks you might not like the consequences if you hurt somebody. It always tries to protect you or be the person, like others.

Listening to the heart is not always wrong. When you feel there is no step forward or when you can not see the path clearly, you have to listen to your heart and follow your gut.

Why Is the Mind Always Right?

The mind is opposite to the heart. It always thinks from a logical point of view. It analyses the situation: what went wrong, and what needs to be done? And it gives solutions, sometimes even if you don’t like that solution, but it is the best option to solve the problem.

Your mind is capable of showing you the right direction for your better life, but your heart takes time.

I’ll tell you from my student life experience.

Your heart might say to have fun with your friends and go to parties, and sometimes it may trigger you to have bad habits because your friends are doing that, and you don’t and can’t say no to them.

But your mind says to don’t waste your time, study hard, make your parents proud, choose your friends wisely and learn to say no if your friends or parents are forcing you to do something you don’t like.

But if you choose to listen to your mind, soon after, your heart will say you made the right decision.

Because your heart takes time to see from the point of view of the mind. At last, both your mind and heart say the same thing.

Listen to your mind to live happily in the future, or listen to your heart to live happily in the present for a short period.

To whatever you listen to, always think and decide what is right and wrong.

Time management is a myth. The truth is you can’t manage time, but you can manage your activities and manage yourself. It’s all about task management.

Whatever you do, you can’t change the seconds in one minute and minutes in an hour. It is always 60 seconds per minute and 60 minutes per hour.

Therefore, you need to manage your activities wisely within the limited resources of 24 hours each day. This is where a to-do list plays a significant role.

Write down everything you want to do tomorrow with a time frame. Be realistic about time. Don’t schedule to study or read for 5 hours continuously. Be realistic.

When you start a completely new habit, start taking small steps, because taking baby steps is not that big deal; therefore, you maximum avoid telling excuses, which results in being consistent and eventually becoming a habit.

I have experience at my early age, sometimes I felt motivated and allocated my time to everything and dropped all my unimportant and entertaining activities in one day. The results are quite expected. I stopped doing that within 2 or 3 days.

Take small steps.

Don’t overschedule. I recommend writing the 10 most important things you want to do.

Prioritise your activities by numbering them.

  • Numbers 1, 2, and 3 will represent the most important tasks that need to be done tomorrow and have a huge impact on you.
  • Numbers 4 and 5 represent important but not urgent
  • Others have less impact and are not urgent

The next morning, again review the list; sometimes prioritisation may change.

If a certain task is the number 1 priority for you today, it doesn’t mean it will be number 1 tomorrow.

  • Try to complete your first 3 most important tasks in the morning.

Don’t forget to include entertainment activities, because when you don’t have fun in your day, you simply become bored and exhausted.

Nearly 90% of people keep blaming time and living a life of regret. They often say,

The truth is, you always had enough time to do whatever you wanted. But you chose to have fun, taking it easy, away from responsibility, instead of having control of what you do.

There just isn’t enough time

Remember, you have full control of what you are doing. If you choose to be a different person, then be ready to do things differently.

Someday, I will do that when I have time

Imagine you’ve decided to do a task, but due to time constraints, you couldn’t finish it. You might tell yourself that you’ll work on it when you have the time. The truth is that the task will remain incomplete until you realise that the time to act is now. If you can’t do it in the present, it’s unlikely you’ll do it in the future.

Analyse your to-do list

You don’t need to perform all the tasks; to be honest, you can’t do all the tasks you planned. Some you can delegate; some you can ignore.

Review your list and ask,

  1. What tasks can be done by others? (Find who can do those tasks and delegate to them.)
  2. What are the tasks that can only be done by me? (Find out how to complete these tasks quickly and in a better way?)
  3. What can I totally ignore if I didn’t finish my important tasks on time? (Do it only if you finish the all-important tasks.)

This is your only life. If you want to change your life as you desire, learn to say no to unwanted, less impactful activities. If you say no today, you won’t regret your life in the future.

3 Signs Of An Actual Confident Person

We can easily find out if someone is actually a confident person by noticing the following 3 signs. If you want to be a confident person, work on these 3 things, and eventually you will see the results by yourself.

#1 Confident Walk

Do you know? People will judge you within 5 to 10 seconds after you enter the room. Their judgement mainly depends on your walk. Your walk will show how confident you are, and can they trust you?

The unconfident person walks looking down with bent shoulders, puts their hands in the pockets to avoid showing their nervousness, walks too slowly, and takes small steps. These impact others' trustworthiness in you, and they present you as a weak and afraid person.

But,

The actual confident people walk into the room

  • By looking straight with their chin up
  • They stand up straight with their chest out
  • Walk with visible hands
  • Walk a bit faster than the average person; this represents that they are energetic and do some important work to do

When you have eye contact with the person next to you, it represents that you are confident about what you are saying. This makes them trust you.

Unconfident people often say they don’t make eye contact. They feel nervous and afraid of the people next to them because they are experienced and knowledgeable.

No need to be afraid; everybody is the same. They were in your place at a certain point, but they learnt and became what they are now. Now, you are in the learning process.

People who are learning don’t need to be afraid of anyone, because learning leads to mastery.

#3 Tell Whatever You Want To Tell

The common sign of unconfident people is that they want to say something or ask questions, but they are afraid of what it would mean – a stupid solution or question. And they often express their opinion at last.

It’s not about the stupid question or solution; instead, it is about you practising asking questions, which is the only leaders’ characteristic.

But,

Confident people say whatever they want to say and ask anything when they are unclear or have doubts.

Even though you ask stupid questions now, eventually you will have the courage to ask brilliant questions that massively impact the company or yourself.

I had to complete a project in a group while I was in college. However, the group are entirely irresponsible and gossips. Even the group leader never makes a decision quickly. I am a member of the group, not its leader. They initially planned an unfavourable idea that would severely affect our grades. But I remained silent. At the time, I had confidence issues. But, at one point, I politely shared my opinion with my group member; they accepted that it was the wrong concept. Surprisingly, after I shared my opinion openly, for every situation and every problem, they came to me for the solution or opinion.

Try it out! You will be amazed.

To become a confident person, act like a confident person; trust yourself that you are a confident person.

Confidence doesn’t mean being rude to hurt somebody, but to have the freedom to do what you want to do and say what you want to say.

While trying to develop your external factors, work on your inner factors that gives you permanent results.
