This Is How It Starts

A milestone

This week, we crossed the threshold of our first 200 followers for this publication. Not bad for a fledgling.

When I first started , the humor publication, in 2019, I knew there was a need for more laughter in the world, and it quickly grew to its first 1,000 followers. Now it’s about to cross over to 12,000. You might say that’s pretty slow growth. But I view it differently. It’s organic, it’s a solid foundation. We earned the growth through the quality of writing, illustrating, editing and curation. It’s bedrock.

This publication will be the same.

I keep thinking about the question — why are humans so fascinated with horror, crime, scifi and mystery? Asking Google of course will help you answer any question, but since I have a degree in psychology, I like looking at it through that lens. provides more insight. So does this one.
